Consumers aren’t feeling great about the economy.
The University of Michigan’s consumer sentiment index tumbled to its lowest level since June 2022. Respondents to the survey expressed concerns about their current personal finances, future business conditions, and the potential negative effects of the ongoing government shutdown.
