Some quick initial thoughts on Fed chair nominee Kevin Warsh π€
Monetary policy isn't determined by one person ποΈ
President Trump is nominating Kevin Warsh to be the next chair of the Federal Reserve.
This process is just beginning. Warsh, who served as a Fed governor from 2006 to 2011, will have to undergo Senate confirmation before he can take the helm. This isnβt exactly a clear path.
There is already a lot written about Warshβs experience, views, and potential conflicts of interest. He has as many critics as he does fans. Both sides make good points.
Off the bat, Iβll share three thoughts.
