If you only have time for one metric, make it this one 💰
It's the bottom line 📋
I would never recommend relying on a single metric. You just can’t get a complete and balanced view of the markets or the economy by considering one variable in isolation.
But I also know that everyone is very busy. Most of you can’t monitor every development affecting your portfolio. Even paid TKer subscribers don’t open every email, and the ones who do rarely read every line. (Don’t worry. I’m not offended.)
Here’s the issue: It’s easy to get drawn in by a variable like layoffs or oil prices — especially when they make front-page headlines — and jump to an incorrect conclusion.
So what are investors to do if they want to get a handle on things quickly?
TKer’s regular readers won’t be surprised to hear that there is one metric that can serve as a north star for stock market investors.
